I thought about tan but was unable to find a good match for the stock tan and black always looks good and is easy/cheap to find. I did all the work myself. The enclosure itself is fiberglass.I first coverd the area I was going to use with foil(ghetto but worked fine) Then I laid the glass directly into the spare tire well so it molds perfectly. I removed the enclosure, peeled off the foil and then glassed 3/4 inch MDF to the top of the glass encloser to bolt the woofers into. Basicly its a glass bowl molded to a flat top. The false floor/cover is just plain 5/8th partical, no need for strength and extra weight there plus its easy to work with. I then covered everything with basic black vinal that you can get from any fabric store, used 3M spray glue and stappled on the back. I think it cost my like $70 bucks totals for materials and took about 8 hours total, taking my time. Ha, my Girlfriend at the time actually helped me build it. I think somthing like this at a custom audio shop would run around 500 bucks, give or take, but Im not really sure.
